Booking
How do I book?
All our bookings are done through our on-site management company, Prestige Student Living, and can be done online through their booking system. Simply click ‘Book a room’ to get to the online booking system and register to book. If you’re having any trouble with that, just get in touch and we’ll be happy to help.
Can I choose a certain room?
Absolutely – floors, flats and room numbers are available to select during the online booking process, so you’ll be able to choose from all available rooms.
Can we book as a group?
Yes, you can book in pairs or as a group if you want to move in with friends and. Group bookings can be completed online. One member of the group just needs to register and when asked to ‘create a group booking’, give the group a name and log in. They'll then need to complete everyone’s personal details and pay the booking fee. When that's done, the rest of the group has 24 hours to register, select ‘join a group booking’ and pay their booking fees.
What deposit do I need?
To secure your room you only need to pay the booking fee, which you’ll get through the online booking system. This becomes your damage deposit incase any accidents occur during your time here. The booking fee is non-refundable, but you’ll get it back at the end of your stay if nothing is owed for damage or outstanding rent. Deposits are fully secure by the ‘Tenancy Deposit Scheme’.
Moving In
When can I move in?
A few weeks before arrival, you’ll be invited to book a move-in slot by your Accommodation Team. This can be booked via our student portal once we’ve let you know what check-in slots are available.
How do I find out who I’m living with?
On booking, you can see whether your flatmates are male or female, what year they’re in and where they’re studying. We don’t give out names for data protection, but you can always use the Eden Square Facebook page to find your flatmates before you move in.
How do I set up my internet connection?
Eden Square has superfast broadband and you can usually connect using an Ethernet cable which you plug into the network wall socket in your room. We also have a wireless network covering the whole building. On arrival, simply connect your devices to the network. Bandwidth and other information is provided in your Tenant’s Handbook on arrival.
Can I have pets?
Sorry, we don’t allow pets of any type at Eden Square.
Can I order bedding and kitchen packs?
Yes, Eden Square and Student Living are partners with unikitout.com. Order a range of kitchen and bedding packs from their website, and they’ll be delivered straight to Eden Square. Order online and save 10% with the promotional code 10. At checkout use the drop-down menu to select where you’re staying and enter your arrival date to make sure everything gets delivered on time.
Do I need a TV license?
You’ll need to buy your own TV license if you intend to watch TV in your room. Visit tvlicensing.co.uk for details and the latest costs.
Living at Eden Square
What do I do if I’m not totally satisfied?
We want you to love your time living with us but there may be times when we don’t always get it right. We take all complaints seriously and will try our best to fix any issues. If you need help or advice about how to make a complaint, please take a look at Prestige Student Living's Complaints Procedure.
What is the policy on guests staying in my room?
Occasional overnight guests are allowed in your rooms, but we just ask that you check with your flatmates first to make sure they’re ok with extra house guests.
Will my student flat be cleaned?
Your student room and any shared areas within your apartment will be spotlessly clean when you arrive, and we have complimentary cleaning in all common spaces throughout your time with us.
How do I log repairs?
Log an issue on our Student Portal and our team will resolve it as soon as possible.
Can I smoke?
Eden Square is smoke-free and this includes all types of e-cigarettes. Smoking is not allowed in any private and communal areas including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens and all internal social spaces. Designated smoking areas can be found outside of the building.
Are my possessions insured?
Every single booking with Eden Square comes with free Contents Insurance with Cover4Insurance. Individual locations explain how you can view the Contents Insurance cover certificate online. To upgrade your insurance contact Cover4Insurance directly.
What safety and security does Eden Square offer?
Eden Square has 24 hour CCTV and secure entry systems. We also have 24/7 security staff, and all Accommodation Teams are fully trained and on-hand to answer day-time queries.
Moving out
Will my room be inspected?
Your Studio or Cluster Apartment will be fully inspected at least three times during your tenancy. We’ll keep an eye on cleanliness and check for damage or missing items. After each inspection we’ll tell you if any charges will be made to put something right, and you’ll be invoiced immediately for recharges after the first two inspections and on the final inspection a deduction will be made from your deposit. The cost of recharges for cleaning, damages and missing items can be found in the Tenancy Handbook.
Do I need to move out over the Christmas and Easter holidays?
No, your room is yours for the whole of your tenancy, and you’ll only need to move out at the end of the agreement.
Can I stay in my room over the summer holidays?
We do our best to offer summer student accommodation extensions. Contact the Eden Square Accommodation Team to see what they can do.
When will I get my deposit back?
Your deposit is registered with a Government-approved Tenancy Deposit Scheme. As long as your room is clean and nothing is missing or damaged from your stay, we’ll aim to get your deposit back to you within 10 working days.
Facilities
Are the fitness suites and other social spaces free to use?
Eden Square has its own on-site private gym, as well as a whole host of additional social spaces. Access to these areas is free for residents.
How do I collect my post?
Post is delivered to on-site post boxes, and larger parcel deliveries will be held at reception for collection. Eden Square accepts no liability for loss or damage.
Is visitor parking available?

Is there a laundrette on site?
Yes, so please don’t bring any portable washing machines with you! Eden Square has its own on-site laundrette which is available for all residents to use at an additional charge.
Eden Square community
This is my first time moving to a new city and I won’t know anybody there? How do I make new friends?
Being social is at the heart of the Eden Square experience, and all our communal spaces have been carefully designed to create a real sense of community and give you the chance to meet new people and bond with your flatmates and neighbours.
Are there any events or socials for residents at Eden Square?
To make your Eden Square experience the best it can be, we host events and socials throughout the year. From welcome parties to pizza nights, we have loads going on to help you get to know other Eden Square residents. Join the Eden Square Facebook group to find out about any upcoming socials or to connect with other residents.
What happens if I have an issue or need to speak to someone to talk to?
Our Teams have an open-door policy, inviting students to pop in and speak to a member of staff if they have any worries or just fancy a chat. The Management teams complete external training each year with our Charity partner Young Minds to gain a greater awareness of how to spot symptoms of mental health issues and the skills to support positive well-being.
